SPECIFIED ILLNESSES EXCLUSION

The following is extracted from the original Hospitalisation & Surgical policy contract :- SPECIFIED ILLNESS shall mean the following disabilities and its related conditions, occuring within the first twelve (12) months of Insurance of the Insured Person, irrespective of whether the Insured Person was aware or not : Stones in the urinary and bilary systems and cholecystitis Hypertension and diabetes mellitus Cardiovascular diseases and varicose veins Cataracts and pterygium (pdf file) Tumours of any kind, including cyst and malignant blood All ear, nose (including sinuses) and throat (including tonsils and thyroid) conditions requiring surgery Hernias, haemorrhoids, fistulae, hydrocele, varicocele Systemic Lupus Erythematosus / Discoid Lupos Erythematosus, Epilepsy, gastritis and peptic ulcer and erosion Endometriosis including disease of the Reproductive System Prostate conditions requiring surgery Vertebro-spinal disorders (including disc) and knee conditions; not accompanied by fractures but requiring surgery.
