The reason I want to contribute to this column is to let all existing members know that medical insurance is CERTAINLY VERY EXPENSIVE outside. I have taken it for granted when we signed up for this plan that its just the same anywhere else but after I have done the survey, we found that it is totally different outside. We enjoyed many other benefits that other medical insurance plan holders do not, such as the comprehensive medical checkup including ECG and PAP smear. Thats a lot of cost savings for us because Juliet and I have been regularly doing our medical checkups every year for the past 12 years. Thats even before taking up this plan. We have saved at least RM700 from this alone.
Other benefits are like SOS membership, eMedical Record system, preferred rates at their clinics are simply fantastic! I can even bring my mother to their clinic to enjoy 30% off standard market rates.
My advice to existing plan holders, do not give up your programs because you will never get anything like this at the same price outside.
